These familiar remarks subtly shift the blame away from the perpetrator.

 

We invited Ms. Jin, Programme Officer of All Women’s Action Society (AWAM) Malaysia, to unpack the deeply rooted biases we often overlook in everyday conversations.

 

When society continues to focus on the victim, we should be asking: Is there something we’ve been missing?
